Major Duties :1. Advance product quality via testing innovations and process improvement

Technical roadmaps & plans for implementing enterprise/program test strategies
-
Drive & manage technical proof-of-concept and feasibility studies
-
Resolve technical issues, anticipate risks and ensure timely management escalation
-
Utilize analytical skills in determining the root cause of defects & issues
-
Analysis, optimization, improvement & maintenance of current test automation suites
-
Master enterprise/program high-level business workflows
-
Promote and support implementation of automated CI/CT/CD pipeline
-
Develop & extend test automation frameworks for UI, Micro services & API
-
Guarantee compliance to automation framework, standards & best practices
-
Facilitate automated, on-demand test automation metrics
-
Accelerate test development process by leveraging existing assets, standards & best practices; Add new functions/methods to the libraries for continuous improvement

Ensure that design for automated tests includes:
a. Modularization for code reusability
b. Parameterization for data driven capability
c. Robustness
d. Scalability and flexibility
e. Optimized number of maintenance points
f. Organization of modules and data for ease of maintenance -
Accelerate test development process by leveraging existing assets, standards & best practices; Add new functions/methods to the libraries for continuous improvement

Guarantee compliance to automation framework, standards & best practices

Ensure automated tests are run early & often providing quick feedback to the team

Seek stakeholder feedback and provide inputs on Quality Roadmap

Collaborate with BAs, Architects & Developers in designing testable applications

Mentor junior SDETs to improve technical ability and effectiveness
Knowledge :• Expert in Java, Selenium, Lean FT, TestNG, Eclipse/IntelliJ
• Strong knowledge of scripting language Java & JavaScript/Python/C#.NET
• Expert of SDLC and Agile development practices
• Expert in SQL, NoSQL, Unix/Linux, Windows, Mainframe
• Design and develop Capabilities for Enterprise level Test Automation Framework
• Expert in Dev Ops/CICD toolset - Bamboo/Jenkins, Maven/Gradle, Git/ BitBucket
• Expert in implementation of TDD/BDD and Framework (Cucumber/JBehave)
• Expert in Data Quality framework
• Extensive hands-on experience on RESTful APIs and Cloud Platforms
• Accelerate test development process by leveraging existing assets, standards & best practices
• Forecasting, estimation & ROI analysis
• Guarantee compliance to automation framework, standards & best practices
• Drive POC for New Tools & Technologies
• Both attention to detail & ability to rise above details to see broader implications & recommend strategic solutions
• Self-starter; Positive & adaptable; Multi-task in a continually changing environment
• Ability to work independently and with a team
• Proven interpersonal and communication skills with technical & business partners
• Requires conceptual knowledge of theories, practices and procedures within a job discipline
Experience :• 10 to 15 years of relevant experience.
• B.E/B.Tech Graduate
• Quality Engineering Certifications (not mandatory, but good to have): DevOps, SAFe Agilist, ITIL
Salary Range:
$83,100 - 141,300 USD
Salary range is a good faith estimate of base pay. Northern Trust provides a comprehensive benefits package including retirement benefits (401k and pension), health and welfare benefits (medical, dental, vision, spending accounts and disability), paid time off, parental and caregiver leave, life & accident insurance, and other voluntary and well-being benefits. Northern Trust also provides a discretionary bonus program that may include an equity component.
