We are seeking a Lead Software Engineer in DevOps to join our dynamic team at Capital One, where you will lead a portfolio of diverse technology projects and mentor a team of developers with expertise in machine learning, distributed microservices, and full-stack systems. Your role involves creating innovative solutions that address regulatory requirements for the company using programming languages such as Python and Go, alongside container orchestration services like Docker and Kubernetes, and configuration management tools including Terraform. You will work extensively with Azure and AWS tools to ensure robust cloud operations resilience engineering practices are in place, leveraging your deep understanding of cloud-native technologies and agile development methodologies.
Lead diverse technology projects and teams to meet regulatory needs.
Utilize Python and Go for developing cloud-native solutions.
Employ Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform for infrastructure management.
Work with Azure tools and services in a DevOps capacity.
Deploy clustered web services using distributed database systems.
What we're looking for
At least 7 years of DevOps Engineering experience
Proficient in Python and other coding languages (Go, SQL, Java, JavaScript)
Extensive experience with Azure and Cloud Native technologies
Expertise in Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, and Jenkins
Experience with Apache Mesos, Marathon, or Apache Spark
Knowledge of distributed database systems like Cassandra and ElasticSearch
Familiarity with Agile Development Practices and deploying clustered web services
