As CoStar’s Lead Software Engineer, you will join a dynamic team to architect and build an AI-powered enterprise-scale web application. Your day-to-day responsibilities include defining service boundaries and API standards for distributed systems, developing high-performance applications with React and Node.js, and working with cloud-native services like Azure or AWS. You will also drive the adoption of AI-first engineering practices, optimize for performance and observability, and mentor team members to enhance their skills in AI tooling and automation. This role requires a deep understanding of modern technologies such as TypeScript, C#, and SQL, along with experience in designing scalable systems for enterprise-level platforms. Ideal candidates will have a background in commercial real estate and a proven track record of launching successful products.
Architect scalable, resilient distributed systems for an enterprise-scale platform.

Develop in-depth knowledge of the commercial real estate industry and business model.
What we're looking for
8+ years of production development experience with modern technologies like React, Node.js, TypeScript
Proven track record of building and launching successful enterprise-scale products and platforms
Expertise in designing highly available, scalable systems with cloud-native services (AWS/GCP/Azure)
Experience in Agile/Scrum processes and continuous delivery practices
Deep understanding of AI tooling and automation for CI/CD, code generation, test generation
