Lead Data and Governance Engineer

What you'll do

• Lead development and enforcement of data governance policies for semantic technologies and federated architectures.
• Ensure ontologies and knowledge graphs incorporate robust governance controls and metadata standards.
• Implement governance in federated querying, GraphQL interfaces, vector databases, and RAG pipelines with Data Engineering teams.
• Define and maintain enterprise data stewardship processes including ownership, accountability, and issue resolution workflows.
• Establish governance frameworks for data security, privacy, and compliance within semantic and federated environments.

What we're looking for

• 7+ years of experience in data roles with focus on enterprise-scale data governance initiatives.
• Deep expertise in data governance frameworks, policies, stewardship, and metadata management.
• Strong understanding of semantic technologies, ontologies, knowledge graphs, and federated architectures.
• Hands-on experience implementing governance for cloud platforms (Snowflake, Databricks) and vector databases.
• Solid knowledge of data privacy, security requirements (RBAC/ABAC, dynamic masking), and compliance in large enterprises.
• Proven ability to partner with technical teams and business stakeholders to embed governance into modern data platforms.
