The Lead Business Process Specialist is a senior business leadership role responsible for governing and coordinating the use of Machine Sales and PINS data across Caterpillar and its global dealer network.
This role serves as the primary business owner and point of communication, aligning global stakeholders, regional teams, and dealers to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and support for enterprise planning and decision‑making. A critical responsibility of this role is end‑to‑end coordination of the Dealer Annual Business Plan (ABP) process.
What You Will Do:
- Serve as the business lead for Machine Sales & PINS ensuring data integrity, consistent business rules, and global governance standards.
- Lead WSA and UCC coordination and governance, including alignment of definitions, classifications, timing, and validation across systems, regions, and dealer partners.
- Own and manage the Dealer Annual Business Plan (ABP) process, including planning, execution, stakeholder coordination, and validation of data quality.
- Function as the central communication lead, translating complex requirements and system changes into clear and actionable business guidance.
- Drive continuous improvement of ABP, WSA, UCC, and related business processes.
- Work closely with Data Engineering and IT teams to ensure business needs are met through scalable data and reporting solutions.
- Identify opportunities to reduce manual effort and increase self-service insights.
- Provide Tier 1 / Tier 2 support for internal teams and dealers.
What You Have:
- Education/Experience: This position typically requires a bachelor’s degree and 6+ years of experience in business process leadership, data enablement, or cross-functional coordination.
- Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools, and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behavior.
- Business Analysis: Knowledge of business analysis and the set of tasks, techniques and tools required to identify business needs; ability to recommend solutions that deliver value to stakeholders.
- Analytical Thinking: Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems.
- Application Delivery Process: Knowledge of major tasks, deliverables, and formal application delivery methodologies; ability to utilize these to deliver new or enhanced applications.
- Core Application Systems: Knowledge of major production application systems used for delivery services to internal and external clients; ability to leverage major production application systems in diverse situations.

- Proven ability to lead and influence global stakeholders.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Hands-on experience with Snowflake and SQL
- Working knowledge of Power BI
- Familiarity with REST APIs
- Working knowledge of Visual Studio Code (not a full-time developer role)

Summary Pay Range:
$128,470.00 - $192,710.00
Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
