TL;DR · Integration & Test Technician, Omen

Join Anduril’s Omen team as an Integration and Test Technician at their Costa Mesa HQ, where you will work on developing new aircraft systems including propulsion, avionics, batteries, and more. Your role involves supporting the use of test as a design tool to accelerate component maturation from bench tests to production environments, assembling complex electro-mechanical subsystems, building HIL/HITL integration setups, integrating developmental subsystems into unmanned aerial vehicles (UAS), and ensuring safety in experimental settings. You will need an associate degree or equivalent experience in electrical/electronics, computer, mechanical technologies, proficiency with electronics test equipment like oscilloscopes and data acquisition systems, and knowledge of high voltage testing and common protocols such as CAN/Ethernet/Serial. This role requires a strong background in aerospace, electronics, or medical industries, and the ability to maintain configuration control and support flight tests efficiently.

What you'll do

  • Support the use of 'Test' as a design tool for component and system maturation.
  • Assemble complex electro-mechanical subsystems, high-quality wire harnesses, and test racks.
  • Build and operate Hardware In the Loop (HITL) physical integration environments.
  • Integrate developmental subsystems into uncrewed surrogate platforms and support flight tests.
  • Execute test procedures across integration environments and report learnings efficiently.

What we're looking for

  • 5+ years of experience in component, electrical, and electronics build and test in R&D.
  • Experience building and operating HIL/HITL/IRON BIRD environments for flight vehicles.
  • Proficiency with high voltage and high power testing equipment and systems.
  • Competency in reading electrical system schematics and capturing 'as-built' configurations.
  • Knowledge of electronics troubleshooting, including common protocols like CAN/Ethernet/Serial.
  • Eligibility to obtain and maintain a security clearance in the US, UK, or Australia preferred.
  • Strong safety mindset and ability to execute work safely in experimental environments.
