As a Full Stack Software Engineer at The Department of War (DoW) and the Intelligence Community (IC), you will play a pivotal role in modernizing ISR mission systems by integrating cloud, platform engineering, DevSecOps, microservices, and digital thread concepts into resilient software solutions. Your day-to-day responsibilities include architecting and deploying full stack applications, ensuring secure coding practices, and working with CI/CD pipelines, Git-based workflows, automated testing, and container orchestration technologies like Docker and Kubernetes. You will leverage modern languages such as Python or JavaScript, front-end frameworks like React, and infrastructure-as-code tools including Terraform to build scalable and resilient systems that support national defense initiatives. This role requires a strong background in software engineering with 3+ years of experience and the ability to work within a highly secure environment, ideally with existing Secret clearance.
Design and implement full stack applications with backend services and front-end components.

What we're looking for
3+ years of experience in software engineering and full stack application architecture.
Proficiency in two modern programming languages (Python, Java, C++, JavaScript, TypeScript).
Expertise in front-end frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue.js.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git workflows, automated testing, and secure coding practices.
Knowledge of container technologies (Docker, Podman) and orchestration tools (Kubernetes, OpenShift).
Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
Active Secret clearance.
