As a Flight Controls & GNC Engineer at TSC’s Airborne ISR Division, you will play a pivotal role in advancing the safety and performance of flight control systems across multiple fixed-wing platforms. You will also analyze data to support developmental efforts and contribute to risk management workflows, ensuring the continuous improvement of flight control technology. Essential skills include hands-on experience in software development for flight controls, guidance navigation and control systems, as well as proficiency with hardware-in-the-loop simulators and software configuration tools. This role requires a BS degree in relevant engineering fields plus two years of direct experience, US citizenship, and the ability to obtain a DoD Security Clearance.

What you'll do

  • Develop and execute multiple parallel technological initiatives for flight control automation.
  • Conduct data analysis and funnel results into risk management and safety workflows.
  • Support the planning and execution of test activities for internal and customer projects.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders in HIL/SIL, ground, and flight tests.
  • Execute operations of hardware-in-the-loop simulators for testing and troubleshooting.
  • Participate in solutions-based collaborations to address automation challenges or gaps.
  • Maintain software configuration management tools and workflows during development.

What we're looking for

  • BS degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Computer, Aerospace, Controls engineering or related field plus 2+ years of experience.
  • US Citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance.
  • Experience in technical project teams, assessing risk, and executing tasks for viable solutions.
  • Practical experience with fixed wing UAS technology development or operational improvement.
  • Hands-on software development experience for flight controls and GNC systems.
  • Familiarity with hardware-in-the-loop simulators and related software tools.
