The Boeing Company is currently seeking F-22 Software Developer Engineers (Associate, Experienced or Senior) to join the Boeing F-22 Enterprise - a part of the Air Dominance organization for positions located in Richardson, TX. These positions will focus on supporting the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) business organization.
The F-22 organization designs, develops, tests, and demonstrates avionics solutions for the F-22 Raptor, the premier 5th gen air superiority fighter flown only by the United States Air Force (USAF).
These positions will require you to work as a member of an agile team to modernize and maintain the Operational Flight Program (OFP) of this aircraft and its associated test software all in support of the advanced capabilities of the F-22 Raptor. Software Engineers in this role will have the rewarding task of developing new functionality and improving existing functionality in order to provide decisive benefit to our Air Force war-fighting customer.
Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including: Associate, Experienced, and Senior Level Software Developer Engineers.
Position Responsibilities:
- Supports the design, development, test, and maintenance of embedded software throughout the end-to-end lifecycle that meets industry, customer, safety, and regulation standards
- Assists with review, analysis, and translation of customer requirements into initial design of software products
- Supports development, maintenance, enhancement and optimization of software products and functionalities for systems integrations
- Supports development, documentation and maintenance of architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces, and designs for software products
- Supports debugging and resolution of issues identified to ensure the reliability and efficiency of software products
- Participates in handling user inquiries, troubleshooting technical issues and user feedback analysis
- Supports implementation of current and emerging technologies, tools, frameworks, and changes in regulations relevant to software development
- Supports development, establishment, monitoring and improvement of software processes, tools and key performance metrics that align projects with organizational goals and industry benchmarks
- Supports execution and documentation of software research and development project
- Assists with performing software project management activities and software supplier management functions
- Supports tracking and evaluation of software team and supplier performance to ensure product and process compliance to project plans and industry standards
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (including manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
- Active U.S. Secret Clearance
- 2 plus years’ experience with programming experience with any of the following software development languages: Ada, C, C++, C#, JAVA, and Python
- Experience working in a project where various software development methodologies are being utilized
- Ability to obtain F-22 Special Access Program (SAP) clearance
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Level 2 (Associate): 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Level 3 (Experienced): 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Level 4 (Senior): 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- ABET is the preferred, accreditation standard
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate with stakeholders of different backgrounds and skill levels
- Experience developing embedded real-time software
- Experience developing models and simulation
- Experience working with Real-time Operating Systems (RTOS)
- Experience with Agile software development

Summary Pay Range for Associate: $106,250 - $143,750
Summary Pay Range for Experienced: $135,150 – $182,850
Summary Pay Range for Senior: $171,700 – $232,300
