What you'll do

Designs and develops software solutions for the KC-46 Tanker Mission Systems.
Documents and maintains software architectures, requirements, and interfaces for mission systems.
Debugs and resolves issues in software products to ensure reliability and efficiency.
Executes and documents software research and development projects for new capabilities.
Integrates hardware and software solutions for tactical situational awareness during missions.

What we're looking for

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field.
5+ years of professional experience programming in C++ or Java for mid-level positions.
9+ years of professional experience programming in C++ or Java for senior-level positions.
Experience with Linux development environments and scripting languages like Python, Bash, Perl.
Knowledge of network architecture design, bus communications protocols (Ethernet, MIL-STD-1553, ARINC 429), and Link16.
Familiarity with DO-178 certification, DevSecOps practices, and cloud computing technologies.
Experience in hardware and software systems integration, open architecture constructs like Open Mission Systems (OMS).
