As an Embedded Software Engineer at Amazon Kuiper Manufacturing Enterprises LLC, you will join the optical inter-satellite link (OISL) and Star Tracker team as a senior member responsible for designing, implementing, and verifying software systems in C/C++, Rust, and assembly. Your daily tasks include developing highly reliable embedded software across various levels from RTOS to bare-metal environments, participating in all stages of the development lifecycle, and collaborating closely with hardware engineers on board bring-up and control algorithm design. You will also contribute to the review and enhancement of other embedded system designs within Amazon Leo, a division dedicated to satellite communications technology. This role requires expertise in Python or C++ programming, ideally complemented by experience in real-time operating systems and bare-metal environments, as well as a strong background in software development for complex, high-reliability systems.
