What you'll do

  • Designs and develops custom electronic solutions, including PCBs, firmware, and FPGA code for solid rocket motor testing.
  • Specifies and installs data collection devices to measure performance metrics of solid rocket motors accurately.
  • Oversees the installation and testing of new measuring devices and control systems during rocket motor development.
  • Analyzes existing equipment inefficiencies and designs improvements for instrumentation used in rocket motor tests.
  • Drafts technical documents, reports, and presents testing results to management for approval and feedback.

What we're looking for

  • 8+ years of experience in designing, developing, and installing sensors for data collection.
  • Expertise in signal conditioning, analog circuit design, and digital circuit design.
  • Proficiency with NI LabVIEW or DAQmx, and other COTS data acquisition systems.
  • Ability to develop computer applications for data collection using Python.
  • Strong understanding of applied math and physics, with excellent organizational skills.
  • Experience in creating PCBs, firmware, and FPGA code for safety-critical designs.
  • Secret security clearance required; Top Secret preferred.
