TL;DR · Document Control Engineer

OCI is seeking a Document Control Engineer to join its technology operations team as an individual contributor, with a focus on scaling GigaScale data center delivery. This role involves building and improving the operational system that ensures consistent execution of project goals by translating lessons learned into standard work practices and reducing variability in handoffs between teams. The engineer will engage stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of necessary documentation and facilitate training for end users. Key responsibilities include managing closeout documentation, compiling comprehensive turnover documents, and using tools like Excel, Power BI, and Jira to track progress and hold parties accountable. Ideal candidates have 3-5+ years of experience in process development or large-scale construction environments, with a strong background in document control and project management. Familiarity with hyperscale data center delivery and punch list processes is preferred.

What you'll do

  • Hold developers and contractors accountable for delivering necessary documentation.
  • Compile comprehensive lists of required turnover documents for data center operations.
  • Facilitate training sessions with end users on operational documentation.
  • Use contract documents to ensure stakeholders meet OCI and tenant standards.
  • Manage closeout documentation distribution to the facility operations team.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Operations, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
  • 3-5+ years experience in process development, operational excellence, program delivery, manufacturing/industrial engineering, or large-scale construction/commissioning environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to stay organized and hold stakeholders accountable for document delivery.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Experience with hyperscale data center delivery, commissioning/turnover, and mission-critical facilities.
  • Familiarity with project controls concepts including document control, closeout, schedule performance, change management, and risk management.
