As a Director of Security at Lingo, you will lead and build a world-class, globally distributed security function across the U.S., Spain, and India, ensuring the security of our health platform’s products and processes while enabling rapid innovation. Your responsibilities include developing an end-to-end security strategy for cloud platforms, mobile applications, biosensor data pipelines, AI/ML services, and enterprise systems, as well as establishing global security architecture and operational capabilities. You will hire and manage a team of security engineers, drive a strong security culture, define KPIs, and partner with engineering teams to embed secure development practices. The role requires expertise in cloud-native security, vulnerability management, incident response, regulatory compliance (FDA, HIPAA, GDPR), and experience scaling security teams across diverse geographies.

What you'll do
Direct and provide a strategic risk management vision for global product security.
Build and lead a high-performing, globally distributed security team across multiple countries.
Define and communicate security KPIs to non-technical stakeholders effectively.
Own security policies and standards for cloud, mobile apps, data pipelines, and AI/ML services.
Lead vulnerability management and coordinate remediation across engineering organizations.
Partner with regulatory affairs to translate legal requirements into practical controls.
What we're looking for
Over 15 years of cybersecurity experience, including at least 5 years leading and scaling global security teams.
Proven track record in building and operating comprehensive security programs with a focus on secure software development practices.
Extensive experience securing cloud-native systems and infrastructure, including IAM, network security, logging/monitoring, and secrets management.
Strong leadership in vulnerability management and incident response, including playbooks, tabletop exercises, and post-incident reviews.
Experience partnering with governance and compliance functions to ensure regulatory requirements are met in regulated environments.
Excellent executive communication skills for translating technical risks into business impact across diverse cultures.
