As a Data Engineer at our company, you will join a dynamic and multi-disciplinary team to support clients in various sectors by building scalable data platforms for tasks ranging from fraud detection to cancer research. Your daily responsibilities include designing, developing, and maintaining ETL pipelines using Python and other programming languages, while also working with relational and non-relational databases like SQL and GraphQL. You will leverage cloud infrastructure such as AWS EMR, Redshift, and Databricks to deploy analytics workloads, and use automation tools on Linux or Windows systems. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with data scientists, software engineers, and customer success managers to ensure seamless integration of data solutions, requiring a strong background in source control using Git or Atlassian tools and experience with infrastructure as code frameworks like Terraform.
Design and develop scalable data platforms for clients using ETL operations.
Support the assessment and maintenance of data systems on Cloud infrastructure.
Write software in Python to automate tasks and improve data processing efficiency.
Implement and manage relational and non-relational database technologies effectively.
Develop large-scale batch and stream analytics pipelines for complex data workloads.
What we're looking for
2+ years of experience in ETL operations on-premises and Cloud infrastructure.
2+ years of programming experience with Python and knowledge of SQL or GraphQL.
1+ year of experience with source control using Git or Atlassian tools.
Bachelor's degree required; Master’s degree preferred in relevant fields.
Experience deploying analytics workloads on PaaS/SaaS platforms like AWS EMR, Redshift.
Knowledge of automation and scripting on Linux/Windows operating systems.
