This position involves analyzing user behavior and interaction patterns across large datasets to identify suspicious accounts and emerging threats, applying core analytical techniques such as segmentation and anomaly detection. The ideal candidate will develop fraud indicators and models, conduct structured investigations, document findings with audit-ready case files, and collaborate cross-functionally to inform tooling improvements and policy updates. Essential skills include proficiency in SQL and advanced Excel for data analysis, experience with OSINT techniques, and strong analytical and communication abilities. Preferred qualifications include background in gig economy fraud detection or behavioral analytics.
Analyze user behavior and platform interaction patterns to identify unusual activity and emerging fraud vectors.
Build and refine fraud indicators and composite signals for monitoring through dashboards and automated models.
Conduct structured investigations using open-source research to document findings in audit-ready case files.
Provide operational insights and context to support tooling improvements and policy updates across teams.
Think like a bad actor to anticipate future threats and exploit methods, staying ahead of emerging fraud tactics.
What we're looking for
At least 3+ years of experience in fraud detection, investigations, risk analysis, or compliance.
Proficiency in SQL and advanced Excel for large-scale data analysis.
Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret complex mixed-signal data.
Experience with structured investigation processes and audit-ready documentation.
Effective communication skills for cross-functional reporting and presentations.
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Criminal Justice, Data Analytics, or Business.
