Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Sr Principal Cyber Systems Engineer – Cybersecurity Patch Product Owner to join their Missile Defense Integration team. This senior-level role involves coordinating patching and cyber mitigation activities across the RMF Authorization lifecycle, fulfilling Product Owner duties for the Cyber and Platforms (CAP) Agile Release Train, and collaborating with various cybersecurity teams. Key responsibilities include managing technical documentation, tracking status and metrics, conducting vulnerability assessments, and providing support for C2BMC program meetings. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cybersecurity concepts, including patch management and compliance activities, as well as experience with NIST standards and DoDI 8500.2. Proficiency in Windows and Linux server hardening according to GPOs, IAVMs, and STIGs is preferred, along with expertise in cybersecurity technologies and risk analysis for RARs.

What you'll do

Oversee cybersecurity patching activities across RMF Authorization lifecycle.
Manage technical documentation and track status metrics for cyber mitigation.
Conduct vulnerability assessments and respond to engineering issues for POA&Ms.
Perform risk analysis and provide support for Risk Acceptance Requests (RARs).
Serve as Product Owner for Cyber and Platforms Agile Release Train (ART).

What we're looking for

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience in relevant technical fields required.
Active DoD 8140 certification at IAT Level II or higher required.
Strong knowledge of cybersecurity concepts including patch management and NIST standards.
Experience in requirements generation, architecture design, and compliance activities for mission systems.
Security engineering skills with a working knowledge of cybersecurity technologies and DoDI 8500.2.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to present technical issues to senior officials.
Preferred: Experience hardening Windows and Linux servers according to GPOs, IAVMs, and STIGs.
