As a Principal Cyber Systems Engineer at Northrop Grumman Space Systems in Colorado Springs, you will join the Missile Defense Integration team as a senior cybersecurity specialist supporting the C2BMC program. Your daily responsibilities include managing Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVM) tickets, executing Cyber Tasking Orders (CTO), and addressing Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVE). You will work closely with the Cyber Test Facility to coordinate test events, review plans, and brief leadership on cybersecurity compliance. Essential skills include expertise in patch management, multi-factor authentication, host-based security, intrusion detection, and NIST standards, alongside proficiency in Agile development using Scrum. This role demands a strong understanding of core cyber capabilities, risk management frameworks, and software development lifecycle models, with experience in configuring audit tools and conducting vulnerability assessments.
Manage the full lifecycle of Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVM) tickets.
Execute Cyber Tasking Orders (CTO) and address Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVE).
Integrate vendor-issued patches and apply DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG) configurations.
Serve as primary liaison with the Cyber Test Facility, coordinating test events and reviewing plans.
Review and verify implementation of cybersecurity requirements in development teams' test cases.
Facilitate prompt delivery of cyber capabilities and solutions, focusing on vulnerability management.
What we're looking for
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience in relevant technical fields required
Active DoD 8140 certification at IAT Level II or higher necessary
Strong knowledge of cyber capabilities including patch management and multi-factor authentication
Experience with Agile development lifecycle, specifically using Scrum framework
Hands-on experience reviewing test plans, executing tests, and providing actionable feedback
Proficiency in NIST standards, DoDI8500.2, RMF security controls, and IA technologies
Solid understanding of SDLC models, testing processes, and cyber-tool software applications
