As a Critical Environment Program Manager (CEPM) on the U.S. Airgap team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the reliability and security of Microsoft’s dedicated online services for the U.S. Government by managing core infrastructure and foundational technologies. Your responsibilities include fostering a culture of safety, security, and compliance across all datacenter activities, building strong relationships with customers, and maintaining peak efficiency of electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety systems. You will also be responsible for routine reporting on critical infrastructure. Ideal candidates have extensive experience in large-scale IT projects, certifications like PMI, and hands-on knowledge of physical IT infrastructures, including cooling, electrical, and life safety systems. This role demands expertise with Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS), Branch Circuit Monitoring (BCM), Building Automation Systems (BAS), and Battery Monitoring Systems (BMS) to ensure the seamless operation of Microsoft’s global datacenter portfolio.

What you'll do

  • Ensure peak efficiency of electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with U.S. Government customers.
  • Empower a culture focused on safety, security, and compliance.

  • Manage large-scale projects related to datacenter operations.
  • Monitor and manage building cooling, electrical, mechanical systems.

What we're looking for

  • At least 3 years of experience supporting IT equipment or large-scale deployment projects.
  • Associate’s or Bachelor's degree in engineering, mechanical, or electrical trades.
  • 8+ years’ experience working on large scale projects.
  • PMI certification or equivalent.
  • Experience with physical IT infrastructure and building systems operation.
  • Knowledge of Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS), Branch Circuit Monitoring (BCM), Building Automation Systems (BAS), and Battery Monitoring Systems (BMS).
  • 2+ years of relevant work experience in a datacenter or critical environment.
