As an Applied Scientist on Zillow’s Connections AI team, you will contribute to building intelligent systems that transform complex real-world transaction and communication data into actionable insights for real estate agents and loan officers. Your daily tasks include developing and refining machine learning models for customer readiness prediction, opportunity prioritization, and workflow optimization, with a focus on classical ML techniques like ranking and decisioning. You will work closely with product managers and engineers to ensure your models are integrated seamlessly into production systems, while also evaluating the performance of both traditional ML and generative AI solutions through rigorous experimentation and analysis. The role requires proficiency in Python, strong coding practices, and experience handling messy, real-world datasets, as well as a collaborative mindset for cross-disciplinary problem-solving.
Develop and evaluate models that identify customer readiness and prioritize opportunities.

What we're looking for
3+ years of applied ML experience in real-world problem-solving.
Strong expertise in classical machine learning models and feature engineering.
