What you'll do

  • Define and drive technical vision for long-horizon agentic systems across Zillow’s platforms.
  • Design agent architectures and learning strategies for context-rich relationships over extended periods.
  • Develop LLM post-training methods tailored to supervised, high-stakes journeys in regulated domains.
  • Translate diverse data types into agent-ready knowledge and signals for training purposes.
  • Mentor principal-level talent and set technical standards within a small pod of scientists/engineers.

What we're looking for

  • PhD in Computer Science or related field with emphasis on LLMs, agentic AI, reinforcement learning, or NLP.
  • 10+ years hands-on experience building large-scale AI systems, including agent-based and multi-agent collaboration.
  • Deep expertise in generative and agentic AI, multimodal foundation models, transformers, and post-training techniques.
  • Track record of leading cross-functional initiatives from concept to production with significant research community impact.
  • Experience designing evaluation frameworks for long-horizon agents in regulated domains, focusing on safety and trust.
  • Strong technical leadership skills, mentoring senior talent and building alignment across stakeholders.
