We are seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join our dynamic team in Santa Clara, CA. This role involves developing and evaluating machine learning and deep learning algorithms using complex time-series sensor data from semiconductor equipment. You will work closely with software engineers to create data pipelines and modeling solutions that integrate seamlessly into our internal platform, fine-tuning performance and resolving issues as they arise. Key responsibilities include conducting comprehensive feature analysis, implementing data science solutions, and documenting algorithmic development for integration and testing phases. Ideal candidates hold a Master’s degree in engineering or related fields with expertise in machine learning techniques, signal processing, and Python programming. Experience with React, SQL, and time-series data analysis of machinery tools is preferred. This position requires strong technical communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across global teams under fast-paced conditions.

What you'll do

  • Develop and evaluate machine learning algorithms using complex time-series sensor data from semi equipment.
  • Perform comprehensive analysis for algorithmic features, including problem analysis and literature review.
  • Create executable data science solutions to provide unique insights to engineering teams.
  • Work with software engineers to develop data pipelines that integrate with internal platforms.
  • Troubleshoot and optimize algorithm performance, resolving issues in the modeling pipeline.
  • Document algorithm development processes and support implementation, integration, and testing phases.

What we're looking for

  • Master’s degree in a relevant engineering or science field.
  • Proficient in machine learning and deep learning techniques.
  • Experience with data extraction, cleaning, signal processing, and visualization.
  • Strong Python programming skills with data science packages.
  • Ability to communicate technically with global colleagues effectively.
  • Preferred: PhD with time-series analysis of machinery tools experience.
