TL;DR · AI Engineer, Platform Infrastructure, Special Programs

As an AI Engineer, Platform Infrastructure at the Special Programs team, you will design and build deployment tooling for classified environments where direct support is not possible. Your daily tasks include creating a deterministic deployment generator, maintaining platform documentation, and building CI/CD pipelines. You will also implement profile-driven rendering for various cloud targets and manage testing frameworks. Key technologies involve Go Lang or Python, Kubernetes, Helm charts, CRDs, and Infrastructure-as-Code tools like Pulumi or Terraform. The role requires experience with air-gapped deployments, GPU infrastructure, and bare metal provisioning techniques. This position is crucial for ensuring secure and efficient operations in high-stakes environments.

What you'll do

  • Design and build the deployment generator for AI platform infrastructure.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive platform documentation.
  • Build a bundle pipeline to support various deployment targets.
  • Implement profile-driven rendering for different cloud environments.
  • Own the monitoring stack migration process.
  • Integrate with existing Supercompute team’s operators without modifying production infrastructure.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, mathematics, engineering, physics, data science, or related field.
  • 1+ years of experience with Go Lang and/or Python.
  • 1+ years of experience working with Kubernetes or similar container orchestration tools.
  • Experience building CI/CD pipelines using Buildkite, GitHub Actions, or equivalent systems.
  • Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools like Pulumi or Terraform and Linux systems.
  • Experience in air-gapped deployment tooling and GPU infrastructure including NVIDIA drivers.
