As an experienced AI Engineer on our national security team, you will play a pivotal role in training, testing, deploying, and maintaining machine learning models that process vast datasets. Your responsibilities include defining the direction of critical solutions by applying optimal ML algorithms and collaborating with data engineers, scientists, and MLOps teams to deliver scalable and robust systems. You will work extensively with Python, LLM-powered systems, LangChain or LlamaIndex frameworks, vector databases like LanceDB, and RAG pipelines to build advanced AI components. Additionally, you must have a TS/SCI clearance and the ability to translate prototypes into production-ready systems while ensuring high performance and reliability in large-scale environments.

What we're looking for
3+ years of experience in software engineering, machine learning, or AI systems development using Python.
Experience building and maintaining large-scale LLM-powered systems and complex data pipelines in production environments.
Proficiency in advanced prompting strategies, LangChain/LlamaIndex frameworks, vLLM/TGI inference engines, and agentic workflows.
Expertise in integrating embeddings, vector databases like LanceDB or Elasticsearch, and RAG pipelines into AI solutions.
Ability to translate prototypes into scalable production systems and optimize for performance metrics such as latency and throughput.
TS/SCI clearance required.
