As an experienced AI Engineer on the Air Power team, you will be responsible for training, testing, deploying, and maintaining advanced AI models to process and analyze large datasets. You’ll collaborate with data engineers, scientists, and product owners to develop cutting-edge agentic frameworks that solve complex mission problems in national security contexts. Your daily tasks include building secure data foundations on enterprise cloud platforms like AWS, implementing MLOps practices, and designing event-driven integrations for workflow automation. The role requires proficiency in Python, TypeScript, or Java with experience in APIs, data services, and CI/CD pipelines. Additional skills such as working with geospatial data, knowledge-centric systems, and integrating sensor streams are highly valued in this mission-critical environment.

What we're looking for
2+ years of experience building production-grade software using Python, TypeScript, or Java with APIs like FastAPI, Flask, REST, GraphQL.
Experience developing and deploying AI-enabled applications such as LLMs, RAG, GraphRAG, agentic workflows in mission-critical environments.
Expertise in securing data foundations on enterprise cloud platforms (AWS) for governed ingest, file exchange, and metadata management.
Proficient in designing event-driven integrations and workflow automation using asynchronous messaging and job orchestration techniques.
Knowledge of MLOps or DevSecOps practices including CI/CD pipelines, containerization, automated testing, and model monitoring.
