As an AI Cloud Engineer at Enact in Raleigh, NC, you will design, build, and operate AI solutions on AWS, collaborating closely with data scientists, engineers, and product teams to deliver scalable GenAI platforms. Your daily tasks include engineering robust cloud infrastructure, contributing to internal tools for streamlined GenAI adoption, implementing observability features, and ensuring governance compliance. Ideal candidates have extensive experience in AWS services like ECR/ECS, Lambda, S3, Glue/Athena/EMR, and CI/CD pipelines using CodeBuild/CodePipeline or GitHub Actions. Proficiency in IaC with Terraform, Python, JSON, bash scripting, Docker, and a strong operational mindset are essential. Experience with enterprise-grade GenAI platforms such as AWS Bedrock is preferred, along with adherence to data security best practices in regulated environments.
Troubleshoot production issues across data, model, and infrastructure layers in a high-impact environment.
What we're looking for
5+ years of experience in AWS Foundations: ECR/ECS, Lambda, API Gateway, S3, Glue/Athena/EMR, RDS/Aurora (PostgreSQL/MySQL), DynamoDB, CloudWatch, IAM, VPC, WAF, Bedrock.
5+ years of hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines using CodeBuild/CodePipeline or GitHub Actions/GitLab for blue/green, canary, and shadow deployments.
3+ years of expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform, parameterized modules, environment promotion, tagging, and cost governance.
Strong proficiency in Python, JSON, bash scripting, and containerization with Docker.
Proven ability to implement end-to-end monitoring, alerting SLA/SLOs, metrics, and cost controls for GenAI solutions.
Demonstrated operational mindset with experience in incident response, SLOs, dashboards, runbooks, and debugging across data, model, and infrastructure layers.
