As the Senior Aeronautical Engineer for the Fort Worth Thermodynamics team, you will play a pivotal role in advancing aircraft thermal performance and reliability by supporting cutting-edge thermodynamics solutions for F-35, Integrated Fighter Group (IFG), and Advanced Development Programs (ADP). Your daily responsibilities include conducting thermal structural analysis to ensure system integrity under extreme conditions, performing bay ventilation analysis for optimal airflow control, developing and validating Environmental Control Systems (ECS) and Power & Thermal Management Systems (PTMS), designing and testing Thermal Management Systems (TMS) for aircraft subsystems, and integrating, testing, and qualifying Thermal Avionics. You will leverage MATLAB/Simulink, Siemens Amesim, and Siemens Simcenter 3D Thermal to deliver innovative solutions while collaborating effectively with customers and senior management. This role demands a Bachelor’s degree in Aeronautical, Aerospace, or Mechanical Engineering, at least three years of experience applying thermal science principles, and proficiency in relevant analysis software.

What you'll do

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree in Aeronautical, Aerospace, or Mechanical engineering.
  • 3+ years of experience applying thermal science principles in aerospace environments.
  • Proficiency with MATLAB/Simulink and Siemens Amesim software tools.
  • Experience in test engineering, instrumentation, data collection, and report writing.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Secret Clearance.
  • Strong analytical skills and collaborative instincts for system integration.
