As a Senior Quality Engineer at Broadcom, you will join a dynamic team dedicated to enhancing the user experience of mainframe products by developing robust QA strategies and improving code coverage. Your day-to-day responsibilities include requirement analysis, test planning, automation scripting with React/TypeScript using Jest, Playwright, and Vitest, manual testing, defect management, performance and usability testing, and integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines like Jenkins. You will work closely with Product, UX/UI, and Engineering teams to ensure high-quality UIs across all mainframe products, leveraging a component library used by Broadcom’s software suite. This role requires expertise in Agile methodologies, SDLC, UI/API testing tools, version control systems, and continuous integration/deployment practices, as well as a commitment to quality assurance best practices in the React ecosystem.
Develop comprehensive test plans and strategies to ensure thorough coverage of requirements.
Write detailed test cases and prepare necessary data for both manual and automated testing.
Execute automated tests using tools like Jest, Playwright, and Vitest for React/Typescript front-end applications.
Identify, log, track, and verify defects found during various types of testing.
Monitor CI/CD pipelines to ensure continuous integration and deployment of high-quality software.
Track quality metrics such as test coverage and defect density, providing regular reports on progress.
What we're looking for
8+ years of experience in software testing or related field
Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and SDLC processes
Expertise in UI/UX testing tools like Jest, Playwright, Postman
Experience with version control systems (Git) and defect tracking tools (Jira)
Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and integration tools (Jenkins/GitHub Actions)
