As a Distinguished Software Engineer on Walmart’s People Technology team, you will lead the technical strategy and architecture for the Apps, Analytics, and AI (AAA) Platform, aligning solutions with business priorities. You will drive cross-domain alignment within People Tech and across Enterprise Technology to ensure scalable, interoperable platforms, while designing secure, reliable architectures that meet functional and nonfunctional requirements. Your day-to-day responsibilities include ensuring high-quality engineering through coding standards, testing strategies, CI/CD excellence, and observability, as well as mentoring leaders and engineers to foster innovation and drive adoption of modern AI best practices. The role requires extensive experience in software architecture, distributed systems, and scalable platform design, proficiency in multiple programming languages such as Java, Python, and JavaScript, and expertise in cloud-native technologies like Kubernetes and Docker.
