UAS Software Engineer, Senior

What you'll do

• Develop reinforcement learning and autonomy algorithms for unmanned aircraft mission execution.
• Implement sensor fusion models using EO/IR, LiDAR, GPS-denied navigation, and telemetry data.
• Optimize AI models for deployment on edge compute platforms like GPU, TPU, and embedded systems.
• Build simulation-based training pipelines to validate autonomy capabilities.
• Deploy containerized AI models to airborne and ground edge nodes in tactical networks.
• Conduct hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) and software-in-the-loop (SIL) testing for autonomous systems.

What we're looking for

• 3+ years of experience designing and training machine learning models for perception, object detection, tracking, and classification.
• Experience developing autonomy behaviors within UAS platforms like Hivemind and integrating them into systems.
• Proficiency in Python and C++ with deep understanding of frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, and ONNX.
• Expertise in deploying AI models on edge hardware including NVIDIA Jetson, GPUs, and embedded platforms.
• Knowledge of robotics middleware (ROS or ROS2) and experience with computer vision or autonomous navigation systems.
• Secret clearance required for the position.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
