What you'll do

  • Define and lead R&D programs to enhance technical value of Tyvek® nonwoven products.
  • Design experiments related to flash-spinning technologies, including new polymers and additives.
  • Formulate optimized process conditions for new product development in nonwovens.
  • Develop methods to monitor product performance across various processing steps.
  • Build mechanistic understanding of product characteristics and manufacturing processes.

What we're looking for

  • PhD or MSc in Chemistry, Polymer Science and Engineering, Materials Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or related fields
  • 5+ years of professional experience in manufacturing, R&D, and/or market-facing roles
  • Expertise in product development, process/product scale-up, polymer processing, chemistry/physics thermodynamics, IP development, quality assurance, standards/regulatory compliance
  • Consultancy experience with customers or clients (preferably external)
  • Knowledge of nonwovens manufacturing and product performance is beneficial
  • Experience in nonwoven and/or membrane product applications/marketplace preferred
  • Fluent in English; proficiency in German is advantageous
