Familiarity with electro-mechanical systems, hydraulics, machining, sheet metal fabrication, welding, and 3D printing is essential, along with strong cross-functional teamwork skills and the ability to work second shift hours.

What you'll do

  • Perform static, dynamic, fatigue, thermal, and vibration testing on various systems.
  • Set up and operate thermal chambers, vibration tables, and data acquisition systems.
  • Build test equipment and execute detailed test procedures to validate design decisions.
  • Maintain and calibrate testing equipment including strain gauges and thermocouples.
  • Work 2nd shift hours and prepare comprehensive reports from test results.

What we're looking for

  • 5+ years of professional experience in an engineering technician role or similar
  • Experience with environmental chamber equipment, vibration qualification testing, and battery discharge testing
  • Hands-on fabrication and assembly skills including machining, sheet metal fabrication, welding, and 3D printing
  • Instrumentation installation and checkout experience (strain gauge application, sensor calibration, thermocouple install)
  • Familiarity with DAQ system setup and collection, electro-mechanical systems, hydraulics, and hydraulic actuators
