As an Electrical & Embedded Systems Technical Expert at Global Manufacturing Electrical & SDV, you will join a dynamic team dedicated to accelerating the development and deployment of advanced manufacturing technologies. Your primary responsibilities include designing and maintaining embedded firmware/applications in C/C++ for manufacturing and test equipment, as well as validating PCBs and interface hardware. You will also integrate vehicle communication protocols like CAN, LIN, and Automotive Ethernet/DoIP, troubleshoot networked systems, and rapidly prototype new concepts from lab to on-vehicle deployment. This role requires strong experience with firmware development in C/C++, hands-on knowledge of embedded systems, and familiarity with automotive communication protocols and computer networking tools. You will collaborate across various functions including IT, Product Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, and Operations to ensure seamless integration and innovation in the manufacturing process.

What you'll do

  • Design and maintain embedded firmware/applications in C/C++ for manufacturing equipment.
  • Develop and validate PCBs and interface hardware for various environments.
  • Integrate vehicle communication protocols (CAN, LIN, Automotive Ethernet/DoIP) into systems.
  • Troubleshoot networked systems (switches, routers, VLANs) in lab/plant settings.
  • Rapidly prototype new hardware/software concepts from lab to on-site deployment.
  • Solve urgent electrical and embedded system issues during builds and launches.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to communicate status and manage risks.

What we're looking for

  • Strong experience in firmware/embedded software development using C or C++.
  • Hands-on experience with vehicle communication protocols (CAN, LIN, Automotive Ethernet/DoIP).
  • Solid understanding of embedded systems and hardware bring-up for microcontrollers and SoCs.
  • Proven debugging and troubleshooting skills across hardware, firmware, and networks.
  • Experience with PCB design and schematic capture tools like Altium or KiCad.
  • Knowledge of vehicle electrical architectures and basic vehicle electrical/mechanical systems.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
