As a senior hands-on engineering leader on Netflix’s GenAI Sandbox and Tooling team, you will lead the development of sandboxes, agentic systems, and high-fidelity internal demos that enable rapid experimentation with in-house large language models (LLMs). This role involves providing technical leadership while remaining hands-on in building prototypes and tooling, driving short-iteration cycles to explore and execute on innovative ideas. You will partner closely with foundation model teams to expose training progress through shadow testing and qualitative signal gathering, and own the creation of a robust playground for complex tool use. The ideal candidate has experience leading technical teams or projects, excels in full-stack engineering, understands LLM application patterns, and can balance quick prototyping with robust integration. Preferred qualifications include extensive software engineering experience, expertise in building agentic architectures, familiarity with LLM-Ops, and the ability to communicate complex concepts effectively to non-technical stakeholders.

What we're looking for
Proven track record of leading technical teams or complex projects in a player-coach capacity.
Strong background in full-stack or systems engineering with rapid API/UI development skills.
Deep understanding of LLM application patterns and agentic system architectures.
Ability to balance quick prototyping with robust integration pattern development.
Experience building high-fidelity prototypes that inform significant product decisions.
Familiarity with lightweight tooling for exposing and monitoring large language models.
