What you'll do

  • Lead the design and architecture of Starburst-based data solutions for enterprise-level scalability.
  • Design, implement, and manage Apache Iceberg tables with Starburst for ACID transactions and high performance.
  • Develop and optimize complex SQL queries and ETL/ELT pipelines using Starburst from various sources.
  • Monitor and fine-tune Starburst clusters to ensure optimal performance and cost efficiency.
  • Implement data federation strategies using Starburst connectors across disparate systems like Data Lakes, RDBMS.

What we're looking for

  • Over 10 years of experience in data engineering and big data analytics.
  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on Starburst Enterprise (Trino/PrestoSQL) production experience.
  • Expertise in SQL query writing and optimization for Starburst/Trino.
  • Deep knowledge of Apache Iceberg with Starburst, including schema evolution and performance tuning.
  • Strong understanding of distributed systems and parallel processing architectures.
  • Proficiency with cloud platforms and data services (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Experience with scripting languages like Python for automation and data manipulation.
