Staff System Architect - Engine Controls

What you'll do

• Develop and drive the architectural vision for engine controls systems.
• Define functional requirements and map inputs to outputs for system integration.
• Mentor and guide a team of engineers in developing technical requirements.
• Capture customer-facing requirements, including emissions and performance standards.
• Support hardware development cycles and define interface requirements.
• Ensure seamless integration with other teams and technologies within the vehicle.
• Prioritize technical feasibility and resolve critical functional issues.

What we're looking for

• Minimum 7 years of experience with Engine Controls Systems.
• Expert understanding of engine combustion physics and fluid dynamics.
• Proficient in requirements management tools like Doors, DNG, etc.
• Experience using simulation environments for fault insertion analysis (Matlab/Simulink).
• High-level analytical problem-solving skills and independent judgment.
• Strong oral and written communication skills to lead large engineering teams.
• Background working with embedded controls/software organizations.
