What you'll do

Define and drive the multi-year technical vision for search infrastructure.
Own architecture of cross-retailer search platform ensuring correctness, freshness, and low latency.
Lead Home feed ranking strategy using real-time and batch ML signals.
Partner with ML teams to productionize ranking models and improve experimentation.
Accelerate developer velocity by reducing time-to-production and minimizing friction.

What we're looking for

10+ years of software engineering experience with a track record in leading large-scale distributed systems.
Deep expertise in backend systems including high-throughput APIs, data pipelines, caching strategies, and storage systems.
Experience building or scaling search, recommendations, or feed-ranking systems at significant traffic volume.
Strong command of system design principles such as reliability, fault tolerance, observability, and graceful degradation.
Proficiency in one or more backend languages (Ruby, Go, Python, Java) with comfort across the stack for debugging and contributions.
BS/MS in Computer Science or a related field.
