Join the TCore team as a Staff Site Reliability Engineer, where you will design and implement scalable network solutions to ensure high availability of Okta's cloud infrastructure edge. You’ll collaborate with various teams to maintain reliable networks, analyze data for root cause identification, and automate AWS infrastructure using Terraform or Chef. With deep expertise in TCP/IP networking and AWS/GCP concepts like Transit Gateway and Direct Connect, you will troubleshoot complex issues using VPC flow logs and Cloudwatch metrics. Proficiency in Bash, Python, Golang, and experience with automation tools are essential, as is the ability to work effectively across multiple stakeholders and be available on-call. Ideal candidates have a background in security-oriented cloud environments and knowledge of Palo Alto virtual firewalls.
Design and implement scalable network solutions for Okta's infrastructure.
Maintain high availability of cloud infrastructure edge for the identity platform.
Analyze data to identify root causes of network-specific events.
Automate AWS infrastructure using Terraform or Chef.
Introduce changes to improve efficiency, scalability, and velocity in systems.
Troubleshoot network issues using AWS VPC flow logs and Cloudwatch metrics.
What we're looking for
8+ years of experience in Cloud Network Engineering or a related field.
In-depth knowledge of TCP/IP networking stack and cloud network concepts like Transit Gateway, Site-to-Site VPN, and Direct Connect.
Proficiency in AWS/GCP network troubleshooting using VPC flow logs, Cloudwatch metrics, and packet captures.
Experience with automation tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
Strong scripting skills in Bash, Python, Golang, or similar languages.
Ability to collaborate effectively across multiple teams and stakeholders.
Willingness to work on-call for network issues.
