Join the TCore team as a Staff Site Reliability Engineer, where you will design and implement scalable network solutions to ensure high availability of Okta's cloud infrastructure edge. You’ll collaborate with various teams to maintain reliable global traffic entry points and automate AWS infrastructure using Terraform or Chef while analyzing data to resolve network issues efficiently. This role requires deep expertise in TCP/IP networking, AWS/GCP concepts like Transit Gateway and Direct Connect, and proficiency in automation tools such as Terraform and Ansible. Strong skills in Bash, Python, Golang, and Git are essential, along with the ability to troubleshoot complex network problems using CloudWatch metrics and VPC flow logs. Experience in a security-oriented cloud environment and familiarity with Palo Alto firewalls will be advantageous.

What you'll do

  • Design and implement scalable network solutions for Okta's infrastructure.
  • Maintain high availability of cloud infrastructure edge for the identity platform.
  • Analyze data to identify root causes of network-specific events.
  • Automate AWS infrastructure using Terraform or Chef.
  • Introduce changes to improve system efficiency, scalability, and velocity.
  • Troubleshoot network issues using AWS VPC flow logs and CloudWatch metrics.

What we're looking for

  • 8+ years of experience in Cloud Network Engineering or a related field.
  • In-depth knowledge of TCP/IP networking stack and cloud network concepts like Transit Gateway/NCC, Site-to-Site VPN/HA VPN, Direct Connect/Cloud Interconnect.
  • Proficiency in AWS/GCP network troubleshooting using VPC flow logs, Cloudwatch metrics, and packet captures.
  • Experience with automation tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Chef, Puppet for cloud infrastructure management.
  • Strong scripting skills in Bash, Python, Golang or similar languages, along with proficiency in git version control.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across multiple teams and stakeholders.
