Company Overview

Intuit is the global financial technology platform that powers prosperity for the people and communities we serve. With approximately 100 million customers worldwide using products such as TurboTax, Credit Karma, QuickBooks, and Mailchimp, we believe that everyone should have the opportunity to prosper. We never stop working to find new, innovative ways to make that possible.

Job Overview

Come join the People and Places (P&P) team where we are stewards of Intuit's greatest strategic asset: Our People. Our vision is to maximize the potential of our people to accelerate Intuit's growth.

As a Staff Data Scientist on our People Analytics team, you'll own the measurement systems, research programs, and analytical frameworks that help Intuit understand and improve the employee experience. You'll lead our Voice of Employee (VOE) analytics end-to-end—including innovative pulsing and sampling approaches—and drive strategic people research into topics like the future of work, the evolving role of the manager, and the transformation of work in an AI-powered, rapidly changing world. You’ll leverage AI and NLP to scale listening, deepen understanding of employee sentiment, and translate insights into actions embedded in business workflows.

You don’t just deliver insights—you ensure they lead to action and measurable impact. We're looking for someone who brings strategic vision to their work—who can identify the right questions, shape a research and analytics agenda, own the scope end-to-end, and shift priorities fluidly as business needs evolve. You'll be a thought partner to senior HR and business leaders, not just an analyst delivering outputs. If you're energized by ambiguity, thrive on intellectual ownership, and want your work to directly shape how Intuit thinks about its people, we'd love to talk.

Responsibilities

  • Lead VOE analytics end-to-end—including the design and delivery of innovative pulsing and sampling approaches—translating employee sentiment data into actionable insights, and partnering with stakeholders to drive adoption, action planning, and measurable improvements in the employee experience.
  • Drive strategic people research and analytics on topics such as the future of work and the evolving role of the manager, applying rigorous scientific methodologies to deliver credible, insight-rich findings.
  • Shape and own research agendas across multiple workstreams, moving fluidly between priorities based on business need while maintaining quality and momentum across all active programs.
  • Build and apply AI- and NLP-enabled analytics approaches (e.g., text analytics, topic modeling, generative AI) to unlock insights from structured and unstructured data and scale how we listen to and understand employees.
  • Lead analytical foundation-setting for upcoming planning cycles, including scoping, methodology design, and early data work to ensure the team is positioned to deliver from day one.
  • Partner across HR, Finance, and business stakeholders to translate complex people questions into scalable, data-driven research and analytics solutions—bringing strategic framing, not just execution.
  • Influence and evolve VOE and people analytics methodologies, setting standards for measurement, experimentation, and insight generation across the organization.
  • Contribute to data governance and measurement consistency across people analytics programs to ensure reliability and credibility of insights.

Qualifications

  • Strategic research leadership: You don't wait to be told what to study—you identify the right questions, shape a research agenda, and own it from scoping through delivery. You're a thought partner to our leadership.
  • People analytics expertise: Deep experience with survey design, innovative pulsing methodologies, sentiment analysis, and organizational research. You understand the measurement systems behind VOE programs and know how to make them better.
  • Scientific rigor: Strong command of statistical methods, research design, and analytical best practices. You produce findings that hold up to scrutiny and earn stakeholder trust.
  • AI & NLP analytics fluency: Hands-on experience with modern AI and NLP techniques (e.g., text analytics, LLMs, sentiment modeling) and a track record of applying them to real business problems—not just experimentation. You're energized by a rapidly evolving space and bring new methods to the team.
  • Adaptability and portfolio management: You're comfortable moving across projects as priorities shift, maintaining quality and focus across a dynamic portfolio of work.
  • Analytical storytelling: You translate sophisticated analysis into clear narratives and decision-ready recommendations that resonate with HR leaders and business partners alike.
  • Stakeholder partnership: You build trust across HR, Finance, and business teams and are skilled at scoping ambiguous questions into tractable research programs.
  • Action orientation: Demonstrated ability to move beyond insight generation to influence decisions, drive adoption, and ensure analytical work results in tangible business or people outcomes.
  • Relevant experience: Typically 7–10+ years in people analytics, organizational research, data science, or related fields, with demonstrated experience leading strategic research programs in a complex enterprise environment.
