Staff Data Architect (Remote)

What you'll do

• Define and steward enterprise data architecture standards including models and contracts.
• Own and maintain canonical data models, ensuring clarity and reuse across use cases.
• Influence source data design by partnering with product and engineering teams.
• Embed governance into engineering workflows through automation and metadata capture.
• Produce and maintain architecture artifacts and lead design reviews for integrity.
• Mentor teams to apply best practices for scalable and reusable data design.
• Evaluate tooling and approaches for metadata management, lineage, and automation.

What we're looking for

• 7+ years of experience in data architecture or enterprise data management.
• Deep expertise in data modeling across conceptual, logical, and physical levels.
• Strong understanding of distributed data architectures and modern cloud platforms.
• Experience defining and operationalizing data contracts and schema standards.
• Hands-on experience with metadata, lineage, and governance tooling integration.
• Proficiency in SQL and Python for design review and technical evaluation.
• Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional teams and communicate complex concepts.
