What you'll do

Own and drive the design system roadmap, prioritizing by product needs, system health, and adoption friction.
Define and evolve system UX including components, patterns, interaction states, responsive behavior, motion, and accessibility defaults.
Lead token strategy end to end, maintaining consistent component APIs with engineering partners.
Establish strong governance and lifecycle management for contribution standards, quality bars, review processes, versioning, deprecations, and migration plans.
Create implementation-aware specs with edge cases, constraints, usage guidance, and acceptance criteria in collaboration with cross-functional teams.

What we're looking for

6+ years of experience in product design, including maintaining a widely adopted design system.
Proven ability to define and evolve UX components, patterns, tokens, and governance across platforms.
Technical proficiency in component-based workflows (Figma libraries, Storybook) with implementation constraints understanding.
Hands-on experience with token pipelines, tooling, and writing detailed specs for seamless design-to-code transitions.
Strong accessibility skills applied to design systems, ensuring WCAG 2.1 AA compliance.
Demonstrated use of AI tools to enhance delivery speed and quality in design system management.
Experience driving adoption through metrics, deprecation plans, and cross-functional enablement programs.
