Sr. Principal R&D Implant Procedure Engineer

What you'll do

• Leads development of novel implant procedures from concept to market release.
• Defines critical skills and requirements for new medical device implants through collaboration with physicians and users.
• Ensures regulatory compliance and readiness by interfacing with various internal teams during procedure development.
• Transfers procedural knowledge to global audiences, including customers and Medtronic field teams, before product launch.
• Supports training programs and clinical procedures during the research phase until market introduction.

What we're looking for

• At least 6 years of relevant experience with advanced degree or PhD.
• Lead development and documentation of novel implant procedures from concept to market release.
• Collaborate across engineering, clinical, and commercial functions for product design and regulatory compliance.
• Serve as an implant procedure Subject Matter Expert for training and knowledge transfer globally.
• Conduct research studies and support clinical trials during the phases of product development.
