As a Senior Machine Learning Engineer in Cboe Global Markets' Regulatory Division, you will join a team dedicated to ensuring the integrity of global financial markets through advanced AI and ML solutions. Your daily responsibilities include collaborating on machine learning experiments for order book analysis and alert detection, developing and operating AI agent systems in production, and building robust data pipelines that process terabytes of market data daily. You will also own the ML training and deployment infrastructure on Snowflake, mentor junior engineers, and ensure rigorous code review and testing practices are followed. Develop and operate AI agent systems in production using ML engineering practices.
Build and maintain data pipelines to process terabytes of daily financial market data.
Own the team's ML training and deployment infrastructure on Snowflake.
Design and develop test-driven Python code for production-quality solutions.
Effectively track and evaluate ML model performance across various stages.
Develop explainability and compliance solutions for AI and ML applications.
Mentor junior and mid-level engineers, raising the engineering bar through rigorous practices.
What we're looking for
5+ years of professional software engineering experience in Python
Strong SQL skills and experience working with large-scale datasets
Production ML experience including training, deployment, and monitoring models at scale
Experience with enterprise cloud data platforms like Snowflake or Databricks
Expertise in production software development practices: version control, automated testing, CI/CD
Demonstrated ability to mentor other engineers and influence engineering culture
Deep knowledge in at least one area of machine learning (deep learning, LLMs, time series modeling, classical ML)
