As a Senior Software Engineer on the Walmart technology team, you will own scoped feature or model delivery through collaborative engineering teams, managing implementation and testing for assigned services and APIs. You’ll write clean code in languages like Java and Python, driving full software development lifecycles including CI/CD deployments and automated testing. Additionally, you’ll integrate AI agents using internal and external APIs, leverage GenAI tools to enhance development velocity, and assist in converting high-level designs into detailed technical specifications. This role involves evaluating trade-offs for scalable system design, participating in design reviews, and ensuring adherence to Walmart’s standards. You will engage stakeholders to identify complex business problems, define metrics for solution success, and support the delivery of high-quality software through proactive monitoring and testing practices.

What we're looking for
5+ years of experience in software development and full lifecycle execution.
Proficiency in Java, Python, and other programming languages for clean code implementation.
Experience integrating AI/ML components using internal and external APIs.
Ability to design scalable, secure, and maintainable software systems aligned with industry standards.
Strong collaboration skills, including mentoring peers and promoting continuous learning.
Expertise in DevOps practices, CI/CD deployments, and proactive monitoring of application performance.
