As a Senior Data Engineer on the Commerce Data Platform team, you will design and maintain scalable data pipelines using Databricks and Apache Storm, while orchestrating workflows with Astronomer. Your daily tasks include building fault-tolerant data pipelines, collaborating across multi-functional teams to ensure high-quality user experiences, and fast prototyping of innovative solutions. You will need proficiency in Python for scripting and pipeline development, strong SQL skills for complex data handling, and experience with Databricks. Additionally, you should have a track record of delivering high-quality software releases on time and the ability to translate complex analytics into understandable insights for senior stakeholders. This role requires working in a fast-paced environment where you will contribute to optimizing experiences through personalization at an enterprise scale.

What we're looking for
5+ years of software engineering experience with a focus on delivering high-quality projects.
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent; master’s degree preferred.
Proficiency in Python for scripting, data processing, and pipeline development.
Strong SQL skills for complex data querying, cleansing, integration, and summarization.
Experience building, testing, evaluating, and improving revenue-generating data models.
Knowledge of Databricks and Apache Storm for scalable data pipelines and real-time processing.
Ability to collaborate across teams and provide guidance on high-performance solutions.
