As a Staff Software Engineer (P50) on the Gen AI Experience team, you will play a pivotal role in developing next-generation AI-first products by integrating advanced AI systems into scalable and production-ready experiences. Your day-to-day responsibilities include designing and implementing backend services for distributed environments, building microservices that integrate AI features, and working closely with product managers, AI specialists, and designers to prototype and launch intelligent features. You will leverage expertise in Java, Scala, Python, or similar languages, along with proficiency in AI/LLM APIs like OpenAI and Anthropic, to ensure high performance and security across the stack. This role demands experience with distributed systems, scalable architectures, REST APIs, cloud-native development, and CI/CD pipelines, as well as a strong foundation in software engineering principles and modern tooling.

What we're looking for
10+ years of professional experience in backend or distributed systems development.
Extensive hands-on experience with AI/LLM APIs, including prompt engineering and system integration.
Expertise in designing, integrating, and maintaining REST APIs (GraphQL preferred).
Proficiency in Java, Scala, Python, or relevant programming languages.
Experience with cloud-native development, microservices, and CI/CD pipelines.
