Role Details
We're looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our Data Platform team, reporting to the Director of Software Engineering. In this role, you'll help build the systems that turn complex, multi-modal content into trusted, governed data that powers decisions and AI experiences across Nasdaq.
You'll fit right in if you're a hands-on engineer who loves designing scalable workflows, working across teams, and seeing your code make an impact in production.
What You'll Do
- Design and implement data connectors that acquire content from diverse sources, with robust authentication, error handling, and monitoring.
- Build smart extraction workflows that parse documents, segment content for search and matching, and enrich data with measurable quality metrics.
- Create and evaluate entity-resolution pipelines that match records accurately and provide transparent explanations for data stewards.
- Develop data transformation and mapping tools that help teams apply changes safely, with version control and impact analysis.
- Assemble high-quality golden records with full lineage, history tracking, and automated quality checks.
What You'll Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- 4+ years of experience in software or data engineering, with a track record of building and operating production data pipelines.
- Strong skills in Python and SQL, with comfort using Bash and Linux tooling.
- Hands-on experience with Databricks and AWS services like S3, EC2, ECS, or EKS
- Familiarity with at least one distributed compute framework (Spark, Databricks), workflow orchestration, or event streaming technology (Kafka).
Nice to Have
- Experience building multi-agent workflows with AI tools, including routing, evaluation, and guardrails.
- Familiarity with LLM-powered enrichment, embeddings, vector stores, and quality evaluation techniques.
This position offers the opportunity for a hybrid work environment (at least 4 days a week in office, subject to change), providing flexibility and accessibility for qualified candidates.
