Your responsibilities include selecting and integrating aircraft engines and fuel systems, fabricating and testing prototype components, planning and executing tests of propulsion systems, coordinating with engine vendors to develop strategic partnerships, and supporting CAD design for internal aerodynamic surfaces and structures. You will need extensive experience in jet engine fundamentals, use of engine cycle decks, and hands-on knowledge of manufacturing methods such as machining and 3D printing. This role involves working on complex projects that demand high-performance mechanical systems capable of operating in contested environments.

What you'll do

Select and integrate aircraft engines, engine components, and fuel systems on unmanned air vehicles.
Design, fabricate, and test prototype components and control systems for propulsion.
Plan and execute tests of aircraft propulsion systems with instrumentation.
Coordinate with engine vendors to develop strategic partnerships and manage projects.
Support CAD design for internal aerodynamic loft, surfaces, and structures.

What we're looking for

8+ years of propulsion engineering experience on air vehicles
Professional experience with jet engines in the 1,000-20,000 lbf thrust class
Knowledge of jet engine fundamentals and use of engine cycle decks
Experience designing mechanical parts and surface loft using CAD
Understanding of various manufacturing methods including machining and composites
Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Top Secret security clearance
