  • Lead design and delivery of scalable, reliable batch and streaming data platforms, services, and APIs aligned to long-term platform needs.
  • Drive strong engineering practices across data modeling, schemas, API contracts, performance, security, and observability.
  • Modernize the Finance Data Factory by consolidating point solutions into a cohesive platform with built-in data quality, lineage, metadata, and automation.
  • Be accountable for production quality and reliability, including testing strategy, observability, incident response, RCA, and preventive actions.
  • Ensure teams align to reference architectures, engineering standards, and platform patterns through design and code reviews.
  • Partner closely with product, business, and peer engineering leaders to align on outcomes, timelines, dependencies, and delivery commitments.
  • Proactively manage execution risks, communicate status and trade-offs, and ensure smooth cross-team handoffs.
  • Mentor and develop engineers by setting technical direction, providing feedback, and growing ownership and technical depth across the team.

What you'll bring:

  • Cloud Scale Mastery: Proven track record in GCP or Azure, utilizing BigQuery, Dataflow, and Pub/Sub to handle petabyte-scale workloads.
  • Engineering Rigor: Fluency in Python, Java, or Scala, with a deep engineering mindset around testability, maintainability, and high-performance system design.
  • Proven experience leading platform engineering and software development lifecycle across multiple teams.
  • Strong expertise in DevOps architecture, CI/CD practices, and cloud financial management (FinOps).
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex technical initiatives with effective stakeholder collaboration.
  • Proficiency in project management, milestone tracking, and technology roadmap execution.
  • Skilled in guiding architectural reviews and ensuring system scalability, maintainability, and performance.
  • Ability to mentor engineers, promote technical excellence, and foster continuous improvement.
